Massage Types Offered:

First Appointment/Health History:  During your first visit please put aside approximately an additional 15 minutes to complete a health history form and to talk together to come up with a plan that will fit your needs.  I offer several types of massage and can put these all together to meet your goals whether it is treatment or relaxation.

Neuromuscular:  Neuromuscular Therapy is used to address many elements that may cause pain.  Trigger points will be treated which are highly irritated points in muscles which refer pain to other parts of the body.  Postural Distortion, which is a postural imbalance of the muscular system from improper, long term body mechanics.  A 90 minute session is recommended so we have time to treat your troubled areas as well as flush them out and provide some relaxation at the end if desired.

Sports:  The focus of Sports Massage is deeper in the muscles tissue, with stretching and joint range of motion.  This treatment based massage is invigorating and brisk.  Attention is given to injury prevention, improved performance and speed recovery training.  A 30 minute session would be great for a pre or post-race event.

Orthopedic:  Orthopedic Massage involves therapeutic assessment, manipulation and movement of soft tissue to help in reducing pain and dysfunction.  Restoring structural balance throughout the body allows us to focus on both prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal dysfunctions.  Orthopedic Massage can assist in reducing neck pain, repetitive use injuries such as Carpal Tunnel or Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.  A 60-90 minute session is recommended here so that we have time to treat all the muscles that are contributing to the pain in greater depth.

Soft Tissue Manipulation (Swedish):  The purpose of Soft Tissue Manipulation is to increase the circulation and oxygen flow in the blood and to assist in the release of toxins from the muscles.  Soft Tissue Manipulation consists of long fluid strokes, breath work and open communication.  This type of massage is relaxing and can help to reduce everyday stress.  A 60-90 minute session would be most beneficial to you to achieve a more relaxed state.

Chair Massage:  What better way to reward your employees? Chair Massage is a great way to alleviate some of the everyday physical and emotional stress.  I can also add in some essential oils to help relax and refocus employees.
